Welcome to Sun City Hilton Head Music Guild

The  MUSIC GUILD is the umbrella club for all music interest groups (MIG's) in SCHH. These MIG's are open to all residents subject to their Operating Procedures. President is  Ellen Steger 705-7917 Click here to view the Guild By Laws (revised April 6, 2012) 

Our 2012 cruise will be Seven days on the Allure of the Seas, sailing from Fort Lauderdale visiting Nassau, Bahamas; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Dates are October 14 - 21. Round trip bus transportation and overnight stay at the Fort Lauderdale Hampton Inn on October 13 is available for $165 per person Click here for Itinerary.

CHORUS AND CONCERT BAND: Under the direction of Art Hansen and accompanied by his wife Lorraine, our 100 plus resident singers and musicians perform two concerts annually. Our Spring show is usually a mix of familiar and not so familiar songs while the December show has a Christmas theme. E-mail  Pat  Zenone, President, or call her at 705-9158.

SINGERS: We sing patriotic and familiar music for special observances and celebrations such as Memorial Day. We sing with mixed voices in four parts, or in unison and with accompaniment. There are no auditions and no limit to membership. Current membership is around 70. Rehearsals are usually on Monday or Wednesday afternoons or Saturday mornings. CHIMERS: Organized in the Fall of 2002 by Bev Stuart for the purpose of playing hand chimes for personal enjoyment and for entertaining residents of Sun City as well as for events in the local area outside the community. SUN TONES: Established in May of 2003, we are a group of women who enjoy singing the unique harmony known as barbershop music. Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 3 - 5 pm at Magnolia Hall. E-mail Judy Barons  or call her at 705-7904.

NEW RIVER HARMONY: A  men's barbershop chorus. All men who enjoy singing are invited to join us to learn to sing four part harmony. Come see if it's for you. We meet Friday afternoons at Magnolia Hall. E-mail Phil Pescarino , President, or call him at 705-4925 for more information.

STRUMMERS: Anyone who plays or is learning to play a stringed instrument is welcome to join us. Sessions are every other Tuesday at Pinckney Hall. A casual group, we play all types of music. E-mail Jerry White or call him at 705-7127

MOUNTAIN STRINGS: We are primarily a Mountain or Hammered Dulcimer group. We meet every Tuesday from 8:30 - 11:30 am at Riverbend. Come join us for fun and music. Lessons are available. E-mail Bobbi Logan or call 705-3289

RAPAREES: A group of folks who love to sing Irish and Celtic songs. We rehearse twice a month, usually the first and third Tuesdays at 6:30. Enthusiasm and spirit are valued more than perfect pitch or musicianship. E-mail Don Sanger or call him at 705-3900.

JAZZ BAND: American Jazz Songbook jam Fridays, Riverbend, 9AM - Noon. Experienced players: must read chords (ninths, diminished), improvise by ear or follow music. Minimal auditions.
